Jay Barnett joined Inside Fitness 360 as a sought after youth leadership and mental well-being mentor. After his time in the NFL, Jay has made it his mission to lead and guide today's youth through group programs and curriculum while providing encouragement, tools, resources and the support needed to begin the journey of evolving into the young men and women they desire to be.
With over 10 years of highly skilled and acclaimed mentoring and success stories, public speaking, business experience and most importantly, real-life, his view is radically different. Jay appreciates and shares with his mentees that leadership is a moment to moment choice and not about title and position. Leadership is for everyone - it's a choice and it's how we should live our lives.
Also, as a leader in the community, Jay serves as the senior consultant and Master Teen Mentor with his Sugarland, Texas based organizations: The Me Project and The We Project which serves at risk teens, ages 13-18. Working with Jay, teens developed self-esteem, self-worth, value for their bodies and strong mindsets.

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate
SHANNON HAYES, MA, LPC-A
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate with a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and an additional focus in Addictions from the University of the Cumberlands. I have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years in various capacities including intensive in-patient and in the community setting. That experience has instilled in me a deep respect for my client’s unique experiences, cultures, and perspectives. I am also a former Navy spouse and transplant to Texas by way of Virginia.
Anais Nin stated, “We don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are”. Much of how we view ourselves and the world is influenced by beliefs/behaviors developed through repeated patterns, experiences, and relationships. My goal is to walk alongside you as a guide to begin unlearning those beliefs and behaviors keeping us stuck while healing those parts of us that are no longer serving us.
My therapeutic orientation is deeply influenced by humanistic and person-centered principles. I take an integrative approach when applying those perspectives such as using IFS, somatic, and mindfulness skills along with CBT and DBT tools. I am excited to be in the process of becoming a certified Geek Therapist and enjoy using video games, pop cultural artifacts, and relevant media to facilitate therapeutic skills and growth.
I am also an artist and I truly believe art is the purest form of projection. As such, I often incorporate therapeutic art tools into our work, as well as music and movement. Although therapy is a serious endeavor, I take a casual and relaxed approach with my clients often using humor and strengths along that journey.
Initiating change is an act of hope. It takes courage and boldness, and I am deeply humbled and honored to walk that path by your side.
