At Inside Fitness Professional Counseling we believe that Internal wellness is of paramount importance and that it is the driving force behind the quality of our external lives. Having a healthy emotional balance is reflected by an external life that is well balanced which often yields love, joy, peace and a healthy self image.
Like we work on our bodies by eating a healthy diet and exercising frequently,it is important to adapt the same approach towards our internal wellness. Unresolved emotional pain makes it difficult to obtain and maintain a clear perspective on life or to engage in long term meaningful relationships.
At Inside Fitness we use an eclectic therapeutic approach which is Person Centered because we believe in unconditional love and providing a safe, judgment free place for individuals to open up and confront the challenges that are holding them back from being their authentic selves .We also utilize a Cognitive Behavioral approach because we believe that unhealthy behaviors are the keys that lead us to the root of our emotional challenges that are manifesting themselves as behavioral issues. We strongly believe the following is true about all of us as sojourners;
1) We are all special and unique individuals.
Our uniqueness makes us special and proves that each human being is a gift to the world. We shouldn’t define our worth and value based on life’s experiences and monetary worth. Always consider yourself as a gift to this world because without you, the world will be missing a rare gift.
2) We all are worthy to receive unconditional love
Contemporary culture has created rules by which to attain love. Unconditional love, is love on a human to human level, where we love each other because we are humans who deserve to be loved. It is not earned, or based on zip codes, race, financial standing or other human existing prerequisites. We are all worthy to receive love just because we are here on this earth.
3) We are all on a journey to becoming our authentic selves
The authentic self is who we truly are at the soul level. Images projected through media and unresolved emotions tend to create a barrier towards becoming our authentic selves. Life’s experiences, positive or negative are a part of the process which we go through in order to unveil our authentic self. Living as your authentic self makes life worth living. It attracts happiness, love, joy, peace and above all, you get to meet the real you.
4) We possess the internal strength we require
Negative experiences pollute our perceptions of self and how much we can endure. Internal strength is the ability to proceed in the presence of fear. No matter how difficult life becomes, we should not be intimidated and succumb to fear. We are equipped with the resilience and the strength we need to walk through life.

The law provides protection for the relationship between a Client and Therapist. Information cannot be disclosed to a third party without the clients written consent. However the confidentiality clause can be broken under the following circumstances:
Suspected child, dependent adult or elderly abuse.I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by the law in order to ensure their safety.
